If you wish to divide the hike into two days, the best option is to stay overnight at Treskavički Katun/Katun Treskavica. During the summertime (from late Jun to late September), Shepherds live in the village. You can buy food, and possibly get a shelter from them. It will be 12.1 km from the starting point to this village; the rest of the trail-length is 8.2 km. The hike begins in Bobino Polje, 300 m southeast from the “Hrid” econo-mountain huts. The trail goes through the forest to get to Katun Bajrovica. Here, you can purchase homemade food. The way (numbered 542) continues to west from Tepsijica along the Hridska Rijeka River until the eastern side of the Hrid Lake, which is at an altitude of more than 1800m. Especially beautiful is its western part. The Lake Hrid is strictly protected area in Prokletije National Park. Camping is prohibited. Sacirov vrh (Sacirov Peak) is a beautiful viewpoint close by. Along the ledge, there is another checkpoint: Veliki Hrid, which is 2011 meters above the sea level. Proceed down to Trskavica hill; pass by the Katun Treskavica summer huts and he Treskavicka River to get to Kofilajca. This trail continues further onto the northern brim of the Kofiljaca mountain and the Redzov dol* to exit the forest at Korita. (* from Redzvov, you can hike around Koiljaca mountain. This circular trail is about 12 km long and highly recommendable. However, it is not a part of the POB trail.) When you keep on descending on an unpaved road and later on a paved road, you will reach Plav village. The trail goes along Ottoman symmetrical architectural style to get the centre. There is a plenty of possibility for shopping and accommodation here. Particularly interesting cultural sights may be the Redzepagica tower and an old wooden mosque.
