This park is getting more and more popular among hikers. This national park is located 25 km away from Kruja, next to Dajti National Park. It has 2000ha in area. It is located on the mountain range, which runs north of Tirana. Pine and Oak find such a mountainous climate suitable and dominate the vegetation of the region around. The pine and oak forests provide home for brown bears, wolves, foxes and many bird species, which retreat from urbanized neighboring regions of Tirana. There are plenty of water sources as well as small lakes here in the park. The water is so clean that it is sold as bottled mineral water with the name of Qafshtama.
